How it Works

Here is what you can expect from me … It's really very simple.

  • You select the ceremony
You have a few options … For your convenience, you can search through the ceremony samples on this website or, if you'd rather, I can e-mail you several of the most popular ceremonies I perform for you to choose from. Take the time to look through them carefully and feel free to add or omit any part of any ceremony, until you have designed the ceremony that resonates with you and your fiancé/partner. Please note, I have a library of ceremonies that are not displayed on this website so if you do not find a ceremony that fits your needs, use my contact form, and briefly explain the type of ceremony you are looking for, the circumstances defining your search, and I will do my best to find the most appropriate ceremony.

  • Reserving your date
A minimum deposit of $100 is required to reserve your date. For deposits, I accept personal checks, travelers checks, money orders, certified funds and soon you'll be able to use the PayPal system from this website. Once I've received your deposit, your date will be reserved on my calendar. If you paid by check your date will be reserved when your check clears. Please note that deposits are non-refundable, should your wedding not take place, for any reason.

  • Communications
When I receive your e-mail with the ceremony selection and your deposit, I will take a closer look at your choice, to be sure it delivers all that you are looking for in a ceremony. If you find a ceremony that is close to what you want, but needs a little tweaking … working together, I am confident, we will design the perfect ceremony for your wedding.

  • Balance due
The balance of the predetermined Officiating fee is due no later than two weeks prior to your wedding date. If payment is not received by this time . . . your reservation will be considered cancelled and the date becomes available for new bookings. Once again, I accept personal checks, travelers checks, money orders, certified funds and for your convenience, the PayPal system will soon be available as a payment option.

  • Wedding Rehearsal
If available … I will gladly attend your wedding rehearsal, however it is not required, but strongly recommended. Experience tells me, ceremonies run smoother, when all participating parties know exactly what to expect. On your wedding day … No surprise is a good surprise!

  • Your wedding day
Unless otherwise arranged … I will arrive at the wedding site 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Upon my arrival, I will check in with the Groom and the wedding coordinator (if you've hired one) and I will be available to assist you, with any last minute details.

  • Marriage License and Rings
I will need to collect the marriage license prior to the start of the ceremony. I will also need to be informed of who the witness(s) will be. I will need to have the designated witness(s) sign the marriage license, prior to the ceremony. If I will be holding the rings for the bride and groom … I will need to have them in my possession at this time also.

  • Official Filing of your marriage license
I personally take your marriage license to the county courthouse for the official filing, with the County Clerk's Office. I will then mail you the official paperwork for your records along with a printed copy of your ceremony and a certificate of marriage, for you to have as keepsakes.
